Iran, Bosnia to Boost Tourism Ties Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed agreement on expansion of bilateral tourism cooperation, said director general of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization’s (ICHHTO) Office for Tourism Development. Ladan Jafari Tehrani added that the objective pursued by ICHHTO have been achieved thanks to the endeavors of the Foreign Ministry. “Bosnia, with a large Muslim population, has a special location in East Europe and Balkan region,” she said, adding that the country can be considered a good tourism destination for Iran. She noted that implementation of the agreement will be a big step toward expansion of bilateral tourism cooperation. Tehrani said that improving bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, making investment in related fields, establishing relations between the two countries’ private sectors, exchanging technological knowhow and experiences, establishing national tourism information offices in the respective countries and exchanging advertising commodities are the main articles of the agreement.
