Tehran Holds Sculpture Symposium The 4th Tehran Sculpture Symposium held an international seminar on the role of sculpting on the awareness of human beings. Several Iranian and foreign sculptors and artists spoke on different aspects of the art of sculpture during the event, Mehr News Agency wrote. The Mexican sculptor Javier Astorga made a speech on the relation of sculptures and urban design, and the Iranian artist Helia Darabi talked about the role of different approaches to contemporary sculpting. The sculptures created by several artists including Francesco Panceri from Italy, Hiroyuki Asakawa from Japan, Miguel Isla and Ronaldo Alvarez from Spain, and Mario Lopez from Portugal were displayed during the event. The symposium was held in early October at the Qasr Museum Garden. | ||
