The distribution company Filmiran has made arrangements to screen two Iranian films at Canadian movie theaters this summer. Director Masoud Kimiai’s Crime and No Men Allowed, directed by Rambod Javan, who is also an actor, will be screened at two Toronto cinemas in July, the Mehr News Agency reported. “Following the films’ successful screening in Germany, we made plans to show them in Canada as well,” Filmiran director Ali Sartipi said. “The cast members of both films will also attend the screenings in Canada,” he added. Crime won the Best Film Award at the 29th Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran in 2011. The film’s setting is old Tehran and it tells the story of a man trying to remain faithful to his principles and beliefs while facing a dilemma. No Men Allowed is a comedy that describes the events which occur after a male teacher begins working at a girls’ school which has a feminist principal. | ||
