Mortezapour to Lead Tehran Symphony Orchestra | ||
ranian musician Nader Mortezapour has been appointed permanent conductor of Tehran Symphony Orchestra. The musician has been cooperating with the orchestra as guest conductor since November 2010. The conductor had earlier held numerous performances with the orchestra, the most recent of which was a concert in Doha in 2010. The performance was part of the programs scheduled for the Iranian Cultural Week in the Qatari capital. Mortezapour took up music when he was 10. For years, he played the contrabass with Tehran Symphony Orchestra. In 1982, he began cooperating with Iran’s Chamber Orchestra and the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting as conductor. | ||
