Iran to Host Junior Science Olympiad

Iran will host the 9th International Junior Science Olympiad 2012.
Iranian students won two bronze medals in the 8th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) that opened in George Campbell School of Technology in Durban, South Africa, in December 2011, ISNA reported.

The junior science Olympiad will be held on Kish Island for commemorating Persian Gulf.
Students will be tested in three natural science subjects of physics, chemistry and biology.
The annual IJSO, the first of which was held in 2004 in Jakarta, Indonesia, concerns students under the age of 15.

The Junior Science Olympiad program will follow the following five stages:
• Stage I: National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS).
• Stage II: Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO),
• Stage III: Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) in junior science,
• Stage IV: Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT) for IJSO,
• Stage V: Participation in International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).
